Overview
The Server Edition is the data centre version of the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell. It uses the same Blackwell GPU with 24,064 CUDA cores as the Workstation Edition, but carries a passive heatsink that relies on the server chassis to push air through it. Board power is configurable up to 600 W, so server builders can tune it to their thermal budget.
It suits enterprise AI inference, fine-tuning of mid-sized models, agentic and physical AI workloads, NVIDIA Omniverse, rendering, VDI and video pipelines in 2U and 4U servers, including NVIDIA RTX PRO Servers and MGX designs. It adds confidential computing and secure boot with a hardware root of trust, and can be partitioned into up to four MIG instances of 24 GB each.
Order by the exact part number. The Workstation Edition and the Max-Q Workstation Edition are separate products with active cooling and will not run reliably in a passively ventilated server.
Typical uses
- LLM inference and fine-tuning
- Agentic and physical AI
- Omniverse and digital twins
- Rendering and VDI
- Video transcoding

Edition and part numbers
Three products share the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell name. This Server Edition is passive and belongs in a server. The Workstation Edition (900-5G144-2500-000) has its own fans for desktop towers, and the Max-Q Workstation Edition (900-5G153-2500-000) is a 300 W blower card for dense multi-GPU workstations. OEM-branded versions, for example Lenovo part 900-2G153-2700-030, carry different part numbers.
