Overview
The EX4400-48F runs at 456 Gbps (912 Gbps bidirectional) and 714 Mpps. Its two 100GbE ports accept 100G or 40G optics, are set as Virtual Chassis ports by default and can be reconfigured as uplinks or split into 4x 10GbE or 4x 25GbE. An optional extension module adds 4x 1/10GbE SFP+, 4x 1/10/25GbE SFP28 or 1x 100GbE QSFP28.
Up to 10 EX4400 switches form a Virtual Chassis with 400 Gbps of interconnect, and the platform supports EVPN-VXLAN campus fabrics, Group Based Policy microsegmentation, sFlow, IPFIX and flow-based telemetry. It is managed through Juniper Mist Wired Assurance or Junos directly, with redundant load-sharing power supplies and redundant variable-speed fans.
Licensing: Standard tier features ship with Junos on the switch. Juniper Flex Advanced and Premium licences (Class 3, 1, 3 or 5-year subscriptions) add higher-tier features and include Mist Wired Assurance. MACsec (S-EX-MACSEC-C3-P) and flow-based telemetry (S-EX-FBT-P) are separate perpetual licences.

EX4400-48F-AFI has back-to-front airflow, and EX4400-48F-DC and EX4400-48F-DC-AFI use a 550 W DC supply. EX4400-24X is the all-10GbE fibre model with 24 SFP+ ports.
