Overview
The EX2300-48T delivers wire-speed switching at 130 Mpps with 176 Gbps of bidirectional capacity. It runs Junos OS, supports Energy Efficient Ethernet on its Gigabit ports and draws at most 70 W. At 25.9 cm deep it fits shallow cabinets and open office spaces.
Up to four EX2300 switches can be joined as a Virtual Chassis over the 10GbE uplinks and managed as one device. Virtual Chassis needs the EX2300-VC licence, or the EX2300-48T-VC SKU that includes it. The switch can be managed with Juniper Mist Wired Assurance, the Junos CLI or J-Web.
Licensing: Standard tier features ship with the switch. The EX-48-EFL Enhanced Feature Licence and Juniper Flex Advanced licences (Class 3 for 48-port switches) add further features. Juniper's support site lists an end of life announcement for the EX2300 family, including EX2300-48T, dated 30 April 2026, with a last order date of 30 September 2026 and end of support on 30 September 2031.

Edition and part numbers
EX2300-48P is the PoE+ version with a 750 W system PoE budget. EX2300-48T-VC bundles the Virtual Chassis licence. EX2300-48MP adds 1/2.5GbE multigigabit ports and six SFP+ uplinks.
