The Cisco SFP-10G-SR is a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ module for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over multimode fibre at 850 nm, reaching 300 m on OM3 and 400 m on OM4. It is the usual choice for short 10G links inside racks, rows and buildings.

Overview
SFP-10G-SR supports 26 m on FDDI-grade fibre, 33 m on OM1, 82 m on OM2, 300 m on OM3 and 400 m on OM4 or OM5, with a 2 m minimum. It uses a duplex LC/PC connector, draws 1 W, carries a beige bail latch and supports digital optical monitoring. It is rated for the commercial temperature range of 0 to 70°C.
This is the standard version. Cisco also sells SFP-10G-SR-S, an S-class module with the same optical specifications, reach, power and temperature rating that does not support FCoE. Choose the standard module if the link may carry FCoE.

This is the standard version. Cisco also sells SFP-10G-SR-S, an S-class module with the same optical specifications, reach, power and temperature rating that does not support FCoE. Choose the standard module if the link may carry FCoE. Extended and industrial temperature versions are SFP-10G-SR-X and SFP-10G-SR-I.

Questions about the SFP-10G-SR
What is the difference between SFP-10G-SR-S and SFP-10G-SR?
Cisco lists both with the same wavelength, reach, power, temperature rating and bail colour. The S-class module does not support FCoE; the standard module carries no such restriction. For plain Ethernet links they connect to each other and to other 10GBASE-SR optics.
Will it work in my switch?
It fits Cisco SFP+ ports on Catalyst, Nexus, ASR, ISR and other platforms. Check the exact host and minimum software release in Cisco's transceiver compatibility tables before ordering.
